Ingredients
4 slices bread
1 tablespoon mustard
6 slices ham
1 pear, peeled and thinly sliced
2 dashes ground black pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon light margarine
Directions
1. Spread 2 slices of bread with the mustard. Layer each with 3 slices of ham, half of the pear slices, a dash of pepper, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining bread. Lightly spread margarine on the outer sides of each sandwich.
2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grill the sandwiches until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Cut each sandwich in half to serve.

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef or ground turkey
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

1 clove garlic, finely chopped
8 slices rye bread
4 slices (3/4 oz each) Swiss cheese
Onions Ingredients
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 medium onions, thinly sliced, separated into rings
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions
1. Heat gas or charcoal grill. In medium bowl, mix all patty melt ingredients except bread and cheese. Shape mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Refrigerate while cooking onions.
2. In 8-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook onions in oil, stirring frequently, until tender. Stir in salt and pepper; keep warm.
3. Place patties on grill rack over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160ºF. Add bread slices to side of grill for last 5 minutes of grilling, turning once, until lightly toasted. Top patties with cheese. Cover grill; cook about 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted. Place patties on bread; top with onions.

4 pita breads (6 inches in diameter)
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaf or 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves

1 pound ground lamb or beef
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)

Directions
1. Split each pita bread halfway around edge with knife; separate to form pocket.
2. Mix yogurt, mint and sugar in small bowl. Stir in cucumber.
3. Mix lamb, water, lemon juice, salt, cumin, oregano, pepper, garlic and onion. Shape mixture into 4 thin patties.
4. Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in oil 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently, until no longer pink in center. Place cooked patty in each pita pocket. Top with yogurt mixture, lettuce and tomato.
Microwave Directions: Omit oil. Arrange patties on microwavable dish. Cover loosely with microwavable paper towel and microwave on High 7 to 9 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 3 minutes, until no longer pink in center. Let stand covered 3 minutes.

2. In a flat bottomed dish, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, and water until blended. Set aside.
